Sew Iconic

January 18, 2026

12 PM - 5 PM

An unforgettable evening where fashion, theatre, and music collide in a powerful showcase of St. Petersburg’s creative spirit — all in support of the next generation.

Sew Iconic: A Fashion & Music Show brings together Sew Pinellas, Girls Rock St. Pete, and St. Petersburg City Theatre for one night of bold expression, local talent, and community connection. From the runway to the stage, you’ll experience what happens when young creatives are given the space, mentorship, and resources to shine.

Hosted by the dazzling Adriana Sparkle, the night kicks off with DJ Chemical Lex and a fashion show from youth Sew Pinellas designers and local fashion designers, followed by a short theatrical performance from the talented teens at St. Petersburg City Theatre. The second half turns up the volume with a musical showcase featuring Anarkitty (Girls Rock youth band) and headlining Hex Appeal (Ladies Rock alumni band).

Come celebrate the power of creativity and help us fund transformative summer camps that inspire and uplift young people in The Burg.

Meet the Creative Director

Katie Dickieson is the Creative Director of Sew Iconic, bringing together fashion, storytelling, performance, and community advocacy. She has always been an artist — but for much of her life, she didn’t believe art alone could make her a valued or respected member of society. In an effort to be taken seriously, Katie pursued a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University, believing she needed credentials outside of creativity to prove her worth.

Coming full circle, this work represents a profound return to her roots. Through this event, Katie reconnects with the artist she has always been — writing the skit, guiding rehearsals, and assembling costumes from the theatre’s costume closet, a long-held dream that symbolizes both imagination and belonging. Her original fashion designs will also be featured and auctioned in support of youth arts scholarships.

At the heart of her work is a deep belief that art is not optional — it is foundational to healthy communities, confident young people, and collective healing. Katie is committed to ensuring that no child grows up believing creativity is something to outgrow, hide, or justify. Through Sew Iconic, she hopes to remove the barriers that once held her back, so the next generation knows their art — and their voice — matters from the very beginning.
