St. Petersburg City Theatre
About St. Petersburg City Theatre
As the oldest, continuously operating community theater in Florida, St. Petersburg City Theatre has been nurturing creativity, connection, and talent in The Burg since 1925. Rooted in the belief that the arts are for everyone, City Theatre offers year-round opportunities for children, teens, and adults to explore acting, stagecraft, and storytelling in an encouraging, collaborative space.
The Power of Performance
For young people, theater is more than entertainment — it's a pathway to self-expression, confidence, and personal growth. Through our youth programs and summer camps, students not only learn the fundamentals of acting and stage presence, but also develop teamwork, communication skills, and resilience. On stage and off, they discover their voice and learn how to use it.
A Stage for All
City Theatre’s youth programming includes productions, workshops, and camps designed to meet kids where they are and help them grow. Whether a shy first-timer or a bold performer, every young actor is given a chance to shine. And when the curtain rises on their final show, it's not just about the applause — it's about knowing they accomplished something brave, creative, and entirely their own.
